Cassie & Scott

Cassie and Scott strive to find adventure in any way possible - whether that be in their backyard of the Rockies or halfway across the world. Since 2011 they have yearned to gain more experiences in travel, adventure, and the processes in between. Head to Tales was conceived after their return from South America and their move to Denver. They knew they wanted to continue to travel and explore, yet they needed a medium to document, share, and continue their journeys. After a year of brain storming and collaboration, Head to Tales is ready to move forward.

On the horizon: a van trip through western Canada and the U.S. while participating in workaway programs.

This journey will serve to inspire others to rethink what constitutes happiness and encourage those inspired individuals to follow through with plans for adventure. By disconnecting with the busy "9 - 5" lifestyle and taking time to find meaning in in the moments unbound by routine, there are endless possibilities for growth, knowledge, exploration, and living authentically. Living in a van in between working on ranches and farms, Cassie and Scott know they will come face to face with discomfort. It is through that discomfort that they plan to discover new truths about simple living and what it offers in return.

A Jill of all trades, Cassie is the writer, dreamer, dog lover, teacher, planner, yoga doer, and occasional photographer curious about what lays beyond the next peak. There is no end to her enthusiasm for travel and experiencing foreign lands authentically. Constantly dancing and smiling, Cassie feels at home among open-hearted individuals who share her passion for laughter. She received her degrees in dance and English literature along with a teaching certificate, yet continues to broaden her horizons in multiple fields. From blogging and website design to marketing and organizing; Cassie is drawn to creating. She plans to utilize these skills in order to fund their journey and learn as much as she can in the process.

Scott

Always working hard, Scott is the filmmaker, photographer, strategist, risk taker, creator, and motivator passionate about chasing films that curate his love of the outdoors. He is never afraid of a challenge and will go against his better instincts to be a part of creating a story. This driving force behind Scott's work manifests itself in the completion and success of his projects. From a group of highliners in Joshua Tree to a free solo ice climber in Vail, Scott thrives in environments where conditions are less than comfortable. Making a name for himself in the adventure film world, Scott plans to continue his work in the field as he and Cassie embark on their latest adventure.

Buster

Buster (a 2004 Chevy AWD Astro) came to Scott and Cassie in the fall of 2015. He has been on some grand adventures since then, hauling gear and friends throughout Colorado, Utah, Texas, Arizona, and California. Buster has been given many hours of attention to make sure it is in tip top shape. With a laundry list of upgrades and modifications, Buster is currently being converted into a camper van to provide transportation, storage, and shelter for Cassie and Scott's Northwestern journey.
